I recently stayed at the Brewery Lodge and Super Club in Michigan City, Indiana and all I could think was how fun it would be to do a cozy girls trip or romantic getaway here.
This cabin style boutique hotel in Northwest Indiana is nestled in a wooded area that feels tucked away. There are cute little sitting/gathering areas and spots for camp fires.
What makes this hidden gem perfect for a cozy retreat is not just the nature-inspired scenic setting, but the vibes are very cozy chill. They have a pretty strict quiet time policy from 11PM to 7AM, so you know you won’t be disturbed by loud guests or parties. Also this hotel is 21+, so no kids.

Upstairs is the cutest little nook area with books and games.

Restaurant: Brewery Lodge Supper Club
The restaurant menu features upscale steak, seafood and comfort food in a rustic, romantic setting with raw wood and fire place vibes.

Guest Rooms
The guest room I stayed in was more spacious than most hotels, with a king size bed and sofa. Everything was super clean and well set-up. There were ample spots for chargers and all that, a coffee maker, TV and even a fireplace! I did not test to see if the fireplace actually worked or not, but it was super cute.
OH and how cute is this – you can even have roses and chocolates in the room for under $20 (at least when I booked) with the romance package add on. So yeah, this is basically the cutest hidden gem boutique hotel I’ve ever been to and the prices are so affordable. 10/10.

Cozy Retreat Things To Do
There are lots of nearby things to do including a variety of restaurants, shopping and the Indiana Dunes.
If I were going to come back for a cozy retreat at this hidden gem hotel I my agenda might include:
- Shopping at the Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets (~10 minutes away)
- Spending some time at the Washington Park & Beach (~13 minutes away)
- Making an appointment for a massage on site at the Brewery Lodge Esthetics & Day Spa
- Getting dinner at the Brewery Lodge Supper Club or lunch nearby at the Shoreline Brewery restaurant
- Going for a walk on the trails
- Sitting outside in one of the cute fire pit areas and maybe even roasting some marshmallows
If you’re visiting with a group and into beer, a Brew Bus Tour could be worth signing up for.
Wheelchair Accessibility at Brewery Lodge And Supper Club
Room & Entry: The hotel has one ADA Wheelchair Accessible room with a king bed. While the main entrance does have a couple of steps to get into the building, there is a side entrance with no steps that would be accessible for a wheelchair user.
Atrium: The Atrium and Patio area is fully accessible with no steps.
Restaurant & Breakfast: The Brewery Lodge Supperclub restaurant does require a few steps no matter how you come in. There are three steps leading to the restaurant from the hotel lobby and a couple of steps from the outside entrance. If you are able to make it up those steps (either via mobility or lift assistance) there is a spacious wheelchair accessible bathroom for guests in the area. When we were here there were a few breakfast items out in this area as well; however if you had someone to grab items for you, your group could gather in the atrium area instead.
