Planning the ultimate girls’ night this October? Hosting a Halloween-themed girls’ night sleepover is the perfect way to celebrate spooky season with friends. From DIY pink pumpkins to matching sweatshirts and Halloween bingo, here are creative, budget-friendly ideas to make your party unforgettable.
Spooky season is here and we love any excuse to get together for a low cost, fun, themed time with friends. Jodi recently hosted such a fun Halloween Sleep Over Staycation and I felt like it deserved a post because you don’t always have to get on a plane or spend a ton of money to have a great adventure. A pink and white ghost themed night can be as simple or over-the-top as you want.
🎃 DIY Pink Halloween Decorations for Girls’ Night
We found these stackable pumpkins at the dollar tree and grabbed two of them. Then we mixed acrylic paint with baking soda to turn these into the cutest pink girly Halloween decorations.
Mixing the baking soda with the acrylic paint is a must for this type of project because it gives the paint some grip and allows you to paint more than one coat. Normally acrylic paint does not stick well to these types of surfaces.

👻 Budget-Friendly Party Favors and Matching Outfits
Jodi found these cute pink Halloween themed sweatshirts for around $10/each on SHEIN and we always have fun matching and being a bit over the top.
DIY Halloween Photo Background
We had an old logo backdrop that we turned around to make it all black and hung it on a stand, but you could totally just secure a large black sheet to a wall! Then Jodi added some cute little ghost garland to the top to drape down and make a cute Halloween themed photo spot.

🪄 Halloween Crafts and Activities to Keep Everyone Entertained
Dollar Tree Wooden Paintables
The Dollar Tree actually had so many cute Halloween craft things this year! Jodi grabbed some simple wooden paintables and these were so simple and fun!

Halloween Bingo
Jodi found some free Halloween printable bingo cards online and got some little Halloween themed prizes like fuzzy socks, ghost necklaces and keychains. We played until everyone won.
Canvas Collaboration: Halloween Painting Game
For this we used small canvases that I had in my garage, but you can get these in bulk packages pretty cheap at Michael’s or JoAnn Fabrics. Everyone gets a canvas. Set a time for 5 minutes and START your painting. When the timer stops, everyone trades their painting and continues on the next one. You keep cycling through until everyone has addd to each painting or you feel like they are all complete.

We had so much fun making these and you can make these super artistic or as hilarious as you want. I thought we were going for hilarious when I started mine, but then everyone else went more cute, but they each turned out a little different and were so fun to make together!
Pink Halloween Themed Nails
So one little side hobby of mine is making custom press on nails and I just had to make a set for Jodi and I to match our party theme.
